ON THE TRAIL OF TRUE DETECTIVE for GQ France
The inspiration was recent Southern films like In the Electric Mist, Mud, Beasts of the Southern Wild, and True Detective. The itinerary was sponsored by regional tourism boards that were eager to show us nice restaurants and historic plantations. I tried to keep things looking strange.
